A graduate in Maritime and Transport Economics from the University of Genoa, with a thesis on the logistic flows of the 2006 Turin Olympics (where he had worked in logistics/television), Stefano has extensive experience in the sector: after working with a container transportation company in Genoa for three years, he continued to work in maritime transport in Cagliari - where he moved with his family - and to work for the Olympic Games events (Rio 2016, Pyeongchang 2018, Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022). During the 36^th America's Cup he was hired by the COR as project manager for the "Word Series Sardinia" in Cagliari (later cancelled for Covid). In 2022 he joined the shore team of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli in the purchasing and logistics department. From 2020 he also works as Venue Manager for the Basketball Champions League. That of 2024 will be his first America's Cup. He spends his free time with his family, but also enjoys DIY, padel, and mountain biking.
