After graduating from the Hotelier Institute in Alghero, Matteo began working in hotels, starting as commis until he became kitchen manager in a 4-star hotel. In his over twenty-year career, he has worked all over Italy in a wide number of relevant hotels. In 2021 he collaborated with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli for a few months and officially joined the team the following year, where he carries out a full range of kitchen duties. The 2024 America's Cup will be his first. When he has free time, he dedicates it to free-diving fishing.
