Francisco - Kico - was born in Portugal and graduated BEng (Hons) at the Southampton Solent university in 2009 in Yacht and Powercraft Design. Since then, he has been involved in performance yacht design. He took part in several boat projects from IRC to Volvo Ocean Race, Imoca and Class 40. With Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli he is part of the team developing the design tools for the foils and the rudders. This is his 3rd Americas Cup campaign, having participated in 2017 with Land Rover BAR and in 2021 with Ineos Team UK. The one in 2024 will be his 3d America’s Cup, the first with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. He likes Enduro and Rally Raid races with dirt bikes, golf and wing foiling.
