Born in Desenzano on Lake Garda, Guido grew up following the classic sailing career, going from sailing in the Optimist class to the Laser 4.7 and Radial, classes in which he won a World and two European titles, as well as four Italian championships in a row. After a stint in Star, where he sailed alongside the most celebrated champions of this class, he switched to 49ers (fifth at CICO 2019) and at the same time enrolled in university to study Medicine. After closing with the Olympic sailing campaign, Guido joined the Dutch youth team to participate in the 2021 Youth AC, which was then cancelled. This experience was very useful for him as he entered the 69F circuit where he raced with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team. In 2023 he joined the Luna Rossa youth group to compete in the 2024 Youth America's Cup in Barcelona.
