Born in Gaeta and enrolled in a Sports Management degree program, Federico is a multi-disciplinary sailor who boasts numerous successes in several boat classes (Melges 24 - Star - Match Race - J70 - Orc - Melges 32 - SB20). He began sailing on Optimists as a child, following in the footsteps of his father Nando (Olympic athlete in Sydney 2000). Once he outgrew the Youth Classes he moved onto the Finn class, with which he won two U19 World Championships and two Italian Championships. With a bronze medal for Athletic Valor and a European Match Race Vice-Champion title (2019), he also won the Swan 50 World Championship in 2022 and the Italian Dragon Class Championship. Passionate about foiling boats, he has successfully raced on the 69F circuit, also under the Luna Rossa insignia. In 2023 he joined Luna Rossa in the youth group to compete in the 2024 Youth America's Cup in Barcelona.
