Born in Brighton (UK) and based in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Ben holds an HND (Higher National Diploma) in boatbuilding from the University of Southampton. In 1999 he started working on composite racing boats at Green Marine, refitting PlayStation and the Volvo 60 Assa Abloy. Following this experience he entered the world of America's Cup, participating in four editions (2003 GBR Challenge; 2007 Desafío Español and Victory Challenge; 2013 Artemis; 2021 Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli). In addition to the Americas Cup, Ben has worked with Ericsson and Pirates of the Caribbean, supervised several TP52, Mini Maxi and Wally programs and for several years was also production manager of a refit and custom composite company in Palma de Mallorca. In his (rare) spare time he enjoys cycling, skiing, SUP and sailing. Barcelona 2024 will be his fifth America's Cup.
