Born in Slovakia, Lukas attended a pre-university course in drawing and design for civil architecture. In 2011, after a visit to his father Roman, who at the time was working at Persico Marine, he decided to stay at the shipyard to help him build the VOR 70 Abu Dhabi. He then collaborated on the construction of Luna Rossa AC72 (34th America's Cup in San Francisco, 2013) and the two Luna Rossa AC75 yachts (36th America's Cup - presented by PRADA in Auckland, 2021). He continued in his career as a boat builder in several European countries, where he worked on important racing yachts, including the AC45 Land Rover Bar for the 2017 edition of Bermuda. He joined Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli in 2022 for his first edition as a team member.
