Born in Cervia, Pino grew up on the water sailing on Optimists and 420s before moving on to offshore racing where, in addition to the Mediterranean classics (Giraglia, Middle Sea Race and others), he took part in the most important international circuits, earning a second place in both the Melges 32 Worlds and the Farr 40s (with Torben Grael). With Luna Rossa he also participated in the TP52 circuit as mid-bow and boat captain and in 2013 he followed the team to San Francisco to compete in the 34th edition; in 2017 he was in Bermuda for the Red Bull Youth AC and in 2018 he returned with the Italian team to participate in the 36th America's Cup in Auckland as a rigger. In 2017 he also won the Panerai Trophy for vintage and classic yachts onboard the 1905 NYYC 30 "Linnet." The one in 2024 will be his third campaign. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, surfing and rock climbing.
