Ravenna-born, sailor, in his over 30 years of activity Matteo has taken part in the most important national and international racing circuits, in leading technical and sporting roles. Matteo’s America's Cup experience is extensive, having participated in 7 editions (Azzurra 1987; Luna Rossa 2000, 2003, 2007, 2013; Oracle Team USA 2010), including the one in 2021 in which he was Technical Director of the Prada Cup. He won the America's Cup in 2010 with Team Oracle.  He also won the Louis Vuitton Cup with Luna Rossa in 2000, seven world titles in different classes, three gold, three silver and two bronze medals for sporting valor, and the "A Life for Sport" honor awarded to him by CONI. In offshore sailing he won the Admiral's Cup and raced the Round the World Race. In the 2024 AC he is Rule Advisor for Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. In his spare time, he loves to hang glide. The 2024 campaign will be his eighth America’s Cup.
