Born in Saint-Nazaire (France), Davy holds a degree in engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris. Since 2006, after completing his apprenticeship at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), he has been involved in the Hydroptère project, working on numerical calculations for the rudders, systems development and mechanical components. Davy is also an experienced sailor: he has competed in four editions of the Tour de France, winning twice in the amateur class and finishing fourth overall. His previous experiences in the Cup are: 2013 Luna Rossa, 2017 ETNZ, 2021 Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. The one in 2024 will be his fourth America's Cup. In his free time, he enjoys handball, paragliding and tramping.
