A graduate in aerospace engineering from the Milan Polytechnic, Vittorio is a CONI has earned the highly prestigious 'Collare d'Oro al Merito Sportivo' award. He began sailing on Optimists at the age of 10, but his first regattas were on multihulls, where he achieved immediate success, winning four Formula 18 Italian titles together with Lamberto Cesari. The transition to the Nacra 17 Olympic Class came naturally: paired with Silvia Sicouri, he achieved three podiums between World and European Championships and three World Cup successes. At the 2016 Rio Olympics they finished fifth, after coming close to a medal. Since 2017 he has been sailing with Maelle Frascari, with whom he won the 2019 World Cup in Auckland. Vittorio is also a great expert in offshore sailing and has participated in the most important international regattas aboard the Maserati Multi 70 as Giovanni Soldini's tactician. The 2024 competition in Barcelona with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will be his first America's Cup. He loves the mountains, endless horizons and harsh environments. If he were not a professional sailor he would certainly be an alpinist.
