PASTA GAROFALO AND LUNA ROSSA: AMERICA’S CUP PACKAGING UNVEILED
The announcement took place at the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia

The launch event for the new Pasta Garofalo packaging was held yesterday at the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, the challenger yacht club for the 38th America’s Cup on behalf of Luna Rossa. As Official Sponsor of the Italian challenger for the 2027 edition, the historic Gragnano pasta maker chose to celebrate the partnership launched last January with new packaging dedicated to the team.
The packs of three of the brand’s most representative pasta shapes — spaghetti, penne and fusilli — have undergone a graphic redesign which, while retaining the transparent packaging, now incorporates the respective logos. The new design reflects the partnership between two Italian brands that share water and the pursuit of excellence as common themes, ideally linking the excitement of the races in the Gulf of Naples with the everyday ritual of a typical Italian lunch on shore.
«Seeing the Luna Rossa name on Garofalo product packaging is quite something. Pasta is synonymous with Italy, and Garofalo with excellence, so we are very pleased to see the two names come together», says Max Sirena, CEO of Luna Rossa. «A sailing team and a pasta producer may be very different worlds, but they share the same approach, built on innovation, passion and teamwork. And being in Naples, with the 38th America’s Cup ahead of us, gives this collaboration an even more special flavour».
«The packaging is the first way this partnership becomes part of people’s everyday lives», said Massimo Menna, CEO of Pastificio Lucio Garofalo. «That is why we wanted the new design to be more than simply celebratory: we wanted it to make the dialogue between Pasta Garofalo and Luna Rossa visible, while at the same time expressing our identity and the values we share — research, precision and a focus on performance. We chose to retain one of the elements that has always distinguished us: transparency, which allows people to see the pasta and immediately appreciate its colour, texture and character. The new packaging therefore becomes a meeting point between our history, our territory and our manufacturing expertise, and a team such as Luna Rossa, whose defining values are research and performance. It is packaging that tells the story of a partnership, but above all it tells the story of who we are and how we look to the future».
