CAMPAGNOLO IS OFFICIAL SUPPLIER OF LUNA ROSSA PRADA PIRELLI FOR THE 37TH AMERICA’S CUP
The historic Vicenza-based company will supply a new transmission system for the AC75

In view of the 37th America's Cup to be held in Barcelona in 2024, the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team has signed a partnership with the historic Campagnolo company to develop a new high-performance transmission system for the "bikes" onboard the AC75.
Compliant to the Class Rule, the hydraulic systems that move the "aero" part of the boat (sails and mast) can only be powered by the crew itself during the race. For this reason, the Protocol provides for the presence of cyclors who, using their legs, are able to develop significantly more power than that produced by the grinders in previous editions.
«We are happy that Campagnolo will support our team for the 37th America's Cup», said Gilberto Nobili, Operations Manager & Mechatronics Coordinator of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. «Campagnolo is a historic Italian company, as well as one of the most prestigious in the world in the field of components for racing bicycles and boasts numerous successes in the most famous international races. Its new transmissions, designed specifically for the team, will make the cyclists' work more efficient, enhancing their performance and the speed of the boat».
«We are delighted to be Official Supplier of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli», commented Campagnolo. «The technology used in the drivetrain system is very similar to that used in elite cycling, where we can count on our know-how from 90 years of experience and 43 Tour de France victories. Our established background has allowed us to collaborate with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli to develop an innovative product that offers maximum performance and excellence, putting us at the service of some of the most powerful athletes in the world».
