For the America’s Cup of 2024 Defender Emirates Team New Zealand chooses the Catalan city of Barcelona, Spain. The races of the 37^th edition will be held between September and October on board the AC75, reconfirmed as the official boat class (with 8 sailors on board instead of the 11 of the previous event). For this edition, the AC75s will be joined by a second boat: the 12-meter One Design foiling monohull (identical for all teams) AC40, with a crew of 4. The AC40 will be used for the two Preliminary Regattas in 2023 (Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia), and for the Youth and Puig Women's America's Cup to be held in Barcelona in 2024.
