Marco Mercuriali

Born in Cesena, Italy. Marco was part of the Italian national Finn team from 1978 to 1982. Since 1984 he has been a coach of the Italian Sailing Federation and from 1990 until 2000, he was in the staff of the Olympic Team He was involved participating in  the Olympic Games of Barcelona ‘92, Atlanta ‘96 Sydney 2000, Beijing 2008. and in He also followed some leading circuits including the 44 Cup, World Match Race Tour, Melges, Volvo Ocean Race, MOD70, Pre-Olympic weeks.

He is part of Azzurra in the first Italian participation in the America’s Cup in 1983 as a crew member and athletic trainer. Later, as a coach, he is always with the Luna Rossa Team in all its participations from the beginning until today (2000-2003-2007-2013). In 2017 he is with Oracle Team USA. This is his seventh America's Cup.
