Mathieu Durand

In 2012 he finished his PhD about Fluid Interactions applied to sails, developing the first dynamic FSI-URANSE computation of a sail (with an auto-trimmed Volvo 70 spinnaker). Mathieu was R&D director in a CFD company during four years, and is currently an active researcher. As a sailor, he collected six French national titles in match and fleet racing.

This is his second America’s Cup, the first with Luna Rossa.
